COCKEYE FILM ZINE

Printed in COCKEYE Film Zine Issue 1

Released: 31 July 2017

A semi-fictionalised stickman account of a day in the life of the SG Film Hunter, founder of Singapore Film Locations Archive, artist-filmmaker and film researcher Toh Hun Ping

I have always been impressed by Hun Ping's depth of film history knowledge and dogged pursuit of it. I have also been so lucky to work with him on Asian Film Archive's State of Motion film and art tours and co-writing a film history essay on Chong Gay Organisation for the National Museum of Singapore's Cinematheque Quarterly's April - Jun 2017 issue. This stickman comic was conceptualised with many creative liberties given generously by Hun Ping but also based on his work, field of research and what I know of him.

It was printed in COCKEYE Film Zine, the silliest and most ridiculous film zine in the country which has only 29 copies in circulation.
