Screensavers have been a faithful companion to listless office workers, uninspired students, and many other unproductive computer users throughout the world since 1983. Paying homage to its various incarnations and transformations in design and storytelling, this experimental short film gives ample screen time to the first screensaver in history that wants to live again on your desktop.

"[...] explore the idea of self in the post-humanistode [...] the film quickly turns itself on its head as the viewer becomes the subject, contemplating the human existence and self in the new machine-led world."

-- Androids Dream of Flying Toasters – The Fully Realized Self in ‘Jù Rén’, ‘Rite of Passage’, and ‘scrnsave’, Asian Film Archive
